10,000 miles later . .

Thursday 14th and Friday 15th October – Heathrow to Perth.

What a journey!!
Not the best flight from Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur. One small meal, assorted biscuits, a mini Toblerone and a packet of peanuts to last the first 10 hours.  Couldn’t sleep because we were so hungry. Then a mushroom omelette for breakfast just before landing (more about this later).

We had a short time in KL airport but long enough to explore the Jungle Boardwalk. A mini rainforest in the centre of the airport.

The flight to Perth was better, especially because it was ‘just’ 5 hours. Imagine our delight when breakfast/lunch was served – another mushroom omelette!

Perth cheered us up though with a glorious sunny afternoon of 20+ degrees. Walking into our room brought huge grins. A room with balcony facing the Swan river, and 2 bottles of wine with chocolates left by our friendly Aussie/Welsh travel agent. Thanks very much Tracey.

We finished the day with a meal on the balcony watching the sun set over the river.
Off to explore Perth tomorrow.
